Puerto José Banús, located in Marbella, on the privileged Costa del Sol, is a fantastic port for sailing and one of the best-known enclaves in southern Europe, where numerous sailors dock.

 

 
Inaugurated in 1970, this marina has achieved fame and prestige both within the Peninsula and abroad, and has won several awards such as the Gold Medal for Tourist Merit and the Gold Mercury International, as a distinction for development cooperation in the economy, culture and society.
The architect Noldi Schreck proposed to build an Andalusian town with a marina and together with the promoter and founder, José Banús, as this marina became known, the desired environment of sophistication was created, visited annually by almost five million people. The port was positioned as a destination for world-renowned personalities, through which royalty, international singers and numerous film artists have passed.
Walking through the streets of Puerto Banus, we found exclusive fashion brands and for its facilities, served as inspiration outstanding marina of the Côte d'Azur. On an area of 15 hectares of water, 915 moorings are distributed for boats of all lengths, up to 50 meters, in addition to the option of anchorage for larger boats. Among the general services of Puerto José Banús, or Puerto Banús, the name with which it is usually known is the waiting dock, gas station, fuel supply at the mooring post at the Honor dock, dry dock service, tower connection, electrical connection depending on the length, water supply, Wi-Fi... Also, the area provides parking space, taxi stand, commercial area and catering, which invites you to spend long hours at the marina as a visitor.
 

This marina was positioned as a tourist destination for outstanding world personalities, among them singers and movie stars.

 

FISHING IN COSTA DEL SOL
Puerto Banús, on occasion, has hosted numerous fishing competitions, some of them sponsored by the Spanish Federation of Fishing and Casting and also by the Galician shipyard Rodman. The Costa del Sol is a fantastic place for fishing with all its possible variants, in fact nearby there is a rocky seabed, where you will find many species. Remember that in the south of Spain there is the option of catching bluefin tuna, samas, groupers, swordfish, amberjacks and white marlin -one of the most coveted catches of the place by the fishermen of the Peninsula.
