GC12 Y GC100, Garmin marine cameras

By Redacción

Garmin introduces two new cameras that allow you to see and control what is going on inside and outside the boat, the GC 12 and the GC100. These devices make it possible not only to record the entire navigation experience, but also to protect the assets and investments of the navigator.

The user will have access to high quality images and all relevant content on one or more Garmin map plotters.
The GC100 camera delivers high quality wireless video directly to any compatible plotter integrated into the same network, and keeps track of the entire interior and exterior of the boat. The navigator can pair up to seven cameras with its map plotter and view content from up to four cameras simultaneously. The fact that it is wireless allows it to be placed in different parts of the boat. The GC100 is able to record even in completely dark places, which makes it perfect for the engine room or other unlit spaces. This model is also very easy to set up (just a button) and install. Just connect the power cable and the camera will be ready to use.

The GC12 connects to the plotter via Garmin cable and offers high image quality even in low-light locations. For this reason it can be installed in the darkest or peripheral places, thus allowing monitoring of all the upper and lower areas of the deck, in the middle of the ocean or even when the boat is trapped. Images can be viewed on one or more compatible networked map plotters, televisions or video monitors with video input.
Extremely efficient and versatile, it can help ensure safer navigation. The navigator can use the camera's inverted image function to more easily exit narrow places, in reverse or in heavy traffic and can also rotate images 90/180/270 degrees for viewing from any orientation.
Both models are very compact, rugged and watertight and are prepared to withstand the most extreme weather conditions, so they can be placed virtually anywhere on the boat.
